Introduction


      In the 21st century, which is the era of digital technology and a knowledge-based economy, information has become a valuable resource for organizations, institutions, and businesses of all kinds. The collection, storage, analysis, and effective use of information are crucial factors that enable organizations to make accurate and timely decisions while maintaining a high level of competitiveness. To respond to this demand, the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Management Information Systems (MIS) was established to equip students with the knowledge, competencies, and skills necessary to manage information systems and utilize information technology in support of organizational management and business development.

      Management Information Systems (MIS) refers to a system that collects, processes, stores, and distributes information to support management, operational control, and organizational decision-making. The field of Management Information Systems consists of several key components, including: People – users, managers, and information specialists; Data–information that is collected and processed; Technology – hardware, software, and communication networks; Processes – methods and procedures for managing information; and Information – outputs that can be utilized for decision-making purposes.

      The Management Information Systems program integrates the fields of Information Technology and Business Management. Students study both theoretical concepts and practical applications in order to design, develop, manage, and evaluate information systems that support organizational operations and decision-making processes. Today, MIS not only focuses on data management but also emphasizes creating business value, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing organizational competitiveness through the effective use of modern technologies.

 

Objectives


      The Bachelor's Degree Program in Management Information Systems (MIS) has numerous objectives aimed at developing students' knowledge, theoretical understanding, technical skills, and managerial competencies to meet labor market demands and support organizational development.
