The Faculty of Law and Political Science is one of the five training units of Asia Europe University.
On December 26, 2022, the Asia Euro Institute was established through Prakas No. 902, dated December 26, 2002, regarding the establishment of the Asia Europe Institute by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
On May 22, 2003, the Royal Government of Cambodia recognized Asia Europe Institute through Sub-Decree No. 39 អនក្រ.បក, dated May 22, 2003, regarding the recognition of Asia Euro Institute, and the Faculty of Law and Political Science was also one of the faculties established at that time.
On January 19, 2005, the Royal Government of Cambodia recognized the transformation of the Asia Euro Institute to Asia Euro University through Sub-Decree No. 05 អនក្រ.បក, dated January 19, 2005, concerning the recognition of the transformation of the Asia Euro Institute to Asia Euro University. The university comprises three majors: Public Law, Private Law, and Political Science and International Relations.
On December 31, 2018, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport officially recognized the establishment of two additional new programs, namely Law and Public Administration, through Announcement No. 2201 of the Ministry regarding the recognition of new programs at Asia Euro University, dated December 31, 2018. Throughout this process, the management team and staff have actively implemented the strategic plans for 2014-2017 and 2018-2022, achieving numerous notable accomplishments with pride. At the same time, the management team and staff have also studied and drawn lessons from several challenges.
Starting from the above-mentioned strengths and challenges, and in accordance with the university's strategic plan, the management board and staff have prepared and issued the 2023-2027 strategic plan in this new phase, focusing on four major points, which can be called the Rectangular Strategy, to promote student growth, enhance training efficiency, improve management productivity, and expand outreach more broadly.
With its high level of responsibility, the Faculty will utilize advanced methods and capabilities to fulfill the following vision, mission, goals, values, and objectives.
The Faculty of Law and Political Science strengthens its role in training and research, transforming into a center that provides clear knowledge and skills in the fields of law, public administration, political science, and international relations, contributing to the implementation of the strategic plan of Asia Euro University for 2023-2027.
