Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

Asia Euro University (AEU) is a private higher education institution that has earned widespread support and contributed to national social development for over a decade. It achieves this by providing capable human resources in the fields of Arts and Humanities, Mathematics, Science and Computer Science, Social ​Science, and Foreign Languages. Currently, Asia Euro University continues to strengthen its role and significance in ensuring quality human resource training to meet the demands of a modern, technology-driven, and knowledge-based society.

 

Internal educational quality assessment is a vital component of the accreditation process by the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC). Recognizing this essential duty, the Internal Quality Assurance Committee of Asia Euro University was established by Decision No. 203/13 AEU on August 3, 2013. Its mission is to promote and enhance the quality of education and the training process at the university.

In 2023, the Internal Quality Assurance Office of Asia Euro University organized a pilot quality assessment among ten universities. This process, conducted by the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia, was successful. As a result, the university received full accreditation certification for meeting national standards for a five-year period from 2023 to 2027, officially dated April 22, 2023

Vision

To enhance educational quality to meet the standards required for the official accreditation of Asia Euro University.

Goals

The primary goal of the Internal Quality Assurance Committee is to conduct self-assessments at the academic program, faculty, and institutional levels of Asia Euro University to achieve educational accreditation.

Objectives

• To provide evidence of the university's capacity for self-improvement, innovation, and continuous transformation.
• To contribute to the definition and promotion of quality standards recognized by the AEU-IQA at national, regional, and international levels, while ensuring responsiveness and relevance to the development needs of companies and students within the institution's operating environment.
• To encourage and strengthen international connections among educators, administrators, and researchers, and to promote close, productive, and regular interactions within the university to better understand quality development needs and engage in relevant practice-based research.
• To ensure that proper attention is given not only to the core management education curriculum but also to broader issues of social responsibility, ethics, and environmental impact inherent in educational activities.

Mission

The Internal Quality Assurance Committee is on a mission to take responsibility for strengthening educational quality in accordance with national and international standards, and to conduct assessments for the official accreditation of Asia Euro University.

Strategies

To achieve its vision, mission, and goals, the Internal Quality Assurance Committee has developed a 5-year strategic plan (2023-2027) consisting of three key strategies:

• Strategy 1: Strengthening Governance and Management.
• Strategy 2: Implementing Educational Quality Assurance Processes.
• Strategy 3: Studying and Evaluating Work Performance and Outcomes.
