The Department of Law is an important department of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the Asia Europe University. This department began operating immediately after the university-wide curriculum was implemented in 2016.
The main mission of this department is to provide legal training services to students, civil servants, company employees, and non-governmental organizations, among others, in order for them to gain theoretical knowledge, analytical skills, and professional practice. The ultimate goal is to prepare them to become competent lawyers, skilled prosecutors, and professional judges, as well as practitioners who apply legal knowledge as a foundation.
To achieve its mission, the Department of Law has recruited professors with profound knowledge in law and social sciences, who are professionally engaged as academic lecturers in educational institutions, judges, royal officials, civil servants holding key positions in government institutions, as well as senior staff serving in companies and non-governmental organizations. Additionally, national and international legal experts are invited to participate in imparting knowledge and experience to the students. The study program organized by the Department of Law begins with an understanding of the necessity and various priorities in participating in the development of a legal-political society, democracy, human rights, and an economy based on knowledge. This important work comes from the participation and organization by expert professors and high-level staff with experience in developing educational programs at the higher education level, and it is regularly reviewed and updated to align with national and international trends. The skills that students gain from this educational program will provide them with legal expertise. In addition to connecting with classroom knowledge acquisition in theory, students also gain hands-on experience directly from the workplace and audit schools. At the same time, the Faculty of Law and Political Science also organizes activities at its own creative school to encourage students to apply what they have learned in practice.
