The Royal Academy of Cambodia
August 25, 1965, Law of Establishment of the "Royal Academy" under the Office of the Council of Ministers but had not been operated its functioning since the econimic crises and prolonged civil war.
June 11, 1999, Royal Decree of Creation and Rename as the "Royal Academy of Cambodia" (RAC). At he early time RAC was composed of for institutes, namely:
1. Culture and Fine Arts,
2. Social Sciences and Humanities,
3. Biology, Medical Science, and Agriculture,
4. Science and Technology.
09 January 2000, Ceremony of Inuaguration and Launching RAC as new higher academic institution under the Higher Presidency of Samdech Prime Minister HUN SEN and H.E.Dr. SORN Samnang was the first RAC President since then.
Beside on 10 July 1998, Establishment of National Language institute. 27 December 1999, the National Language Institute was merged into RAC as its fifth institute.
In 2000, the first cohort of Master programs were launched at RAC.
06 April 2006, Creation of the International Relations Institute of Cambodia (IRIC) at RAC.
In 2007, the first cohort of PhD programs were commenced.
26 June 2009, Assignment of the Second President of RAC, H.E.Mrs.Dr. KHLOT Thyda.
27 July 2009, Transfer Ceremony for the new RAC leadership presided by Deputy Prime Minister H.E.Dr. SOK AN.
